Review of Forum ö: Pioneering work for a regenerative economy

In our latest blog post, we take a look back at Forum ö, a key event in the field of sustainability and the circular economy. We share our insights and experiences from the conference, which offered not only inspiring keynotes but also interactive workshops.

A new dialog space for sustainability

Every year, Forum ö brings together up to 300 experts and decision-makers from the fields of sustainability and innovation from leading Swiss companies. This platform acts as a central hub for the exchange of innovative ideas and the development of practical solutions in the field of sustainability.

The diverse program encouraged a fruitful exchange and stimulated discussions about innovative paths towards a regenerative economy. In this article, we take a look back at our experiences and insights from this year's Forum ö.

Why is the Forum ö important?

At a time of increasing environmental crises and resource scarcity, Forum ö raises a crucial question: How can we transform sustainability beyond mere buzzwords into real, measurable action? The event emphasizes the urgency of going beyond conservation and actively contributing to the regeneration of ecosystems.

What has taken place?

Prof. Dr. Stephan Hankammer opened the forum with a powerful keynote speech that called for a break with old patterns and the exploration of new paths towards a regenerative economy. His message: regenerative companies must be part of their environment and create positive impact.

A rich program of interactive breakout sessions and other inspiring presentations took place throughout the day. In these sessions, the opportunities of the regenerative economy and their significance for the challenges of sustainability management were discussed intensively.

Prof. Dr. Katrin Muff concluded the event with her keynote speech on "Positive Impact Leadership", which shed new light on leadership thinking and the strategic direction of companies.

In the breakout sessions, especially the one by Tom Koch from Rytec Circular on circular economy, practical approaches for circular business models were presented. These sessions offered the opportunity to learn from experts and discuss strategic steps for implementing the circular economy. Participants exchanged views on necessary building blocks and examples, with a focus on creative solutions and the integration of sustainable practices into business models. The Wordcloud with the key factors of the circular economy, which was jointly created, was also exciting.
