Online courses for circular economy

The sustainability office Eartheffect has developed the online educational offer "Shape the Circle" for companies and launched it on 05 September.

Sustainability through change in corporate culture

The sustainability office Eartheffect GmbH has developed the online training program "Shape the Circle" and launched it on September 5. It is designed for companies that want to embed sustainability in their corporate culture.

The transformation from a linear to a circular economy places high demands on companies. Such a development can best be implemented if all employees are involved in the change and can contribute. In order to create a culture of sustainability in the company, employees must be sensitized, motivated and trained accordingly.

Developed with Lyreco Deutschland GmbH as application partner

In line with the credo "sustainability through participation", the sustainability office Eartheffect GmbH - in cooperation with Lyreco Deutschland GmbH as application partner - developed the educational offer "Shape the Circle". The aim is to make sustainability education accessible to as many employees in the company as possible in an efficient way.

Time- and cost-efficient entry for companies

Compared to conventional workshops and seminars, "Shape the Circle" online courses can be completed at any time, from anywhere and from any electronic device. This guarantees maximum flexibility without affecting the operational business - compared to full or half-day workshops - and also reaches even more employees. At 90 minutes per course, the comprehensible and playfully structured courses are also short and concise.

Developing circular ideas and tackling innovations

While the basic course on sustainability and circular economy is aimed at all employees, the in-depth courses on circular economy, energy and life cycle assessment offer in-depth knowledge where it is needed to initiate change in the company. At the end of each course, employees apply what they have learned by developing ideas and suggestions for improvement in their own working environment. Collected and evaluated in a pool, suitable ideas can be addressed and implemented with the involvement of the motivated employees. In this way, sustainable development can be initiated or supported through a participatory corporate culture.

Lyreco Deutschland GmbH as application partner in development

Lyreco has committed to a circular economy in 2020 and has set up a task force in each country. According to Ulrich Karthaus (head of the task force in Germany), such a development can only be implemented if all employees can participate and contribute. To achieve this, employees would have to be sensitized and trained accordingly so that awareness could develop. As a result, he had been on the lookout for appropriate training courses. However, the courses on offer in German-speaking countries were relatively few and far between. Fortunately, he came across Future Perfect, an online teaching tool developed by Eartheffect for vocational schools and vocational baccalaureate schools, and contacted Eartheffect on this basis.

We thank Lyreco for the successful and always very pleasant cooperation in the development of Shape the Circle.
