Under the motto "legemirlos", the HESO special show 2023 put the spotlight on the topic of sustainability. For us, this was the ideal platform to present our newly founded association "Piazza Circulaire" to the public.
HESO Special Show 2023: "legemirlos" - A commitment to sustainability in the canton of Solothurn
The Solothurn Autumn Fair (HESO) is a firm fixture in the annual calendar of events for many residents in the canton of Solothurn and beyond. But this year, the HESO presented a very special side: Under the motto "legemirlos", the special show 2023 put the spotlight on the topic of sustainability. For us, this was the ideal platform to present our newly founded association "Piazza Circulaire" to the public.

Our association has made it its mission to inspire people of all generations for environmentally conscious topics and to create spaces for lively exchange. We place particular emphasis on biodiversity, sustainable food production and circular economy.
With an informative stand, Piazza Circulaire offered visitors a lively platform to discover the topic of sustainability in a playful way. Several times an hour, a tricky quiz invited visitors to test their own knowledge, and for our youngest guests there was a children's quiz and the opportunity to creatively implement their ideas and thoughts in the painting area.

On the opening day of the HESO, Federal Councilor Albert Rösti, head of the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications (DETEC), also visited the special exhibition. He took the opportunity to put his sustainability knowledge to the test in our quiz, winning an exclusive Bean-to-Bar chocolate from Garçoa.
Ideas competition: Sustainable visions for Solothurn
In addition to the exciting sustainability quiz, visitors also had the opportunity to take part in an ideas competition. More than 80 innovative suggestions for the promotion of sustainability in the canton of Solothurn were submitted by the visitors. The ideas will now be evaluated by a selected jury and the winners will be chosen in mid-November.
A special thanks to the 3FO Foundation
A big thank you goes to the 3FO Foundation, which made the realization and organization of the special show possible. The Foundation was founded by Reinhold Mathys and is committed to personal development in essential areas, including the relationship between child and parent, awareness of environmental issues and conflict resolution.
To put such a big event on its feet requires immense commitment and cooperation. Special thanks go to Burkhard Behr, the managing director of the 3FO Foundation, who offered us the chance to be an integral part of the HESO Special Show 2023.

Our association Piazza Circulaire was just one of many that presented their visions and missions at the HESO. Numerous exhibitors offered a kaleidoscope of interactive offers - from nutrition and nature to energy and movement to education, art and sustainable fashion.
Well-known organizations such as foodwaste.ch, the Ökozentrum, flick + werk, GreenUp, the Klimagrosseltern, the Nachhaltigkeitsnetzwerk Kanton Solothurn (NNWSO) and many others were intensively involved and stimulated profound discussions about our future.

All these conversations and encounters confirmed the common goal of all those involved: to emphasize the importance of sustainability in the here and now. The motto "legemirlos" is more than a slogan - it is an urgent call to action. Together, we are committed to a better and sustainable future, because the right time to bring about change is now.
