Review of the 5th Circular Economy Forum: A step towards Circular Switzerland

We attended the 5th Circular Economy Forum with great interest and awareness of the increasing importance of the circular economy in the current environmental debate. Organized by Swiss Recycle, the leading player in recycling and the circular economy in Switzerland, this forum provided a central platform for discussing progress and challenges in this area.

The forum at a glance

‍Thetopic "Closing the loop in Switzerland - where do we stand?" brought together experts from politics, business and science in Aarau on November 9, 2023. The presence of National Councillor Susanne Vincenz-Stauffacher and experts such as Julia Beyer and Julia Bachmann was particularly noteworthy.

Important topics of discussion

‍Thefocus was on questions relating to the current situation of the circular economy in Switzerland, the relationship between politics and business and the data situation on sustainable packaging. A succinct quote that underlines the urgency:

"According to the Swiss Circularity Gap Report, we are currently at 7% circularity."

The panel discussion highlighted different points of view and emphasized the importance of environmental protection and resource conservation as overarching goals.

Highlights and takeaways

For Eartheffect, it was an inspiring experience that reinforced our commitment. We look forward to continuing to be part of these important discussions and making our contribution.

A new project
