Eartheffect in a new guise

After 12 years of existence and after numerous realised projects, Eartheffect has continuously developed - now also visually.

Eartheffect continues to develop

Founded 12 years ago as a spin-off of ETH Zurich, Eartheffect has always implemented numerous projects in sustainability education and awareness-raising and has continuously developed - now also visually! We have given our website a fresh coat of paint, focusing on an improved overview and a sleeker design.

12 years Eartheffect

Fortunately, not only Eartheffect but also the awareness and relevance of sustainability issues in society, business and politics has evolved over these 12 years. We look back at our history:

CO2 balancing, funding programmes and advisory workshops

Since the beginning, the guiding principle of sustainability through participation has run through all our projects and activities. Accordingly, our history began withcarbon footprints for the mobility of ETH members and with an incubator programme for projects to reduceCO2 on the ETH Zurich campus. Soon after, we added our EcoGastro support programme to help numerous catering businesses reduce their electricity consumption through one-off subsidies and consultancy workshops. Since then, we have conducted many other workshops on sustainable nutrition, circular economy or 2000-watt workshops. In this way, we have been able to support companies, schools and public institutions in raising awareness, education and the development of sustainability strategies.

Digital education

In the past decade, not only the awareness of sustainable development but also the digitalisation of all areas of life has been on the rise. This development is both a challenge and an opportunity and is already having an immense impact on society, the economy and the environment. Accordingly, we developed our digital education offers for schools (Future Perfect) and for companies and organisations (Shape the Circle) to make important future skills & knowledge accessible in a contemporary way.

Eartheffect - Sustainability through participation

Convinced that development can only be sustainable if it is supported by the community, we sensitise people in different contexts to the challenges of our time and offer education and training programmes on the topics of sustainable development.

In order to move from knowledge to action, we actively involve the widest possible range of members of an institution in the planning and implementation of a sustainability strategy. The joint search for solutions motivates and promotes the acceptance of changes that we so urgently need for a future fit for grandchildren.
